The life of a mobile pantry van: from generosity and setbacks, to serving the local community

We’re excited to announce that we are now the proud owners of a mobile pantry van that we purchased in mid-February from a dealership in Darlington, County Durham.

Our first journey was straight to Salisbury, Wiltshire, taking over six hours!  There, we met a team from NTL Biologica who kindly donated, and filled the van with 2 gazebos, 4 tables, 4 chairs, lots of useful household items, 4 extension cables, and even screen wash!  Thank you so much!

We have also had a few mechanical and technical issues since the purchase, and we’d like to say a BIG thank you to Kirsty and Carl from Paneltex for coming to our rescue, fixing the shutters and cables at no charge, and getting us back on the road!

We are overwhelmed by the kindness and support of so many, reinforcing the spirit of community and generosity.

We are looking forward to many years of getting out and about in the van, helping people in our local area.
