Need help? We are here for you

21st June 2026

Anyone can find themselves facing difficult circumstances. Whether it’s due to rising living costs, an unexpected bill, illness, changes in employment, or another crisis, sometimes people need a little extra support.

At Hart Foodbank, we’re here to help when that happens.

We provide emergency food and essential items to local people experiencing hardship, while also helping connect individuals and families with wider support that may improve their situation in the longer term.

How to access support

Our foodbank works primarily through a referral voucher system. We work with a range of local organisations, including Citizens Advice, schools, churches, housing teams, health professionals, social services, and support workers, who can assess your circumstances and provide a foodbank voucher if appropriate.

If you don’t already have a voucher, please don’t worry. We can help guide you through the process and, where needed, connect you with a suitable referral agency. Hart Foodbank will also provide support to people on their first visit if they have not yet been able to obtain a voucher.

More than food

When you visit one of our foodbank centres, you’ll receive more than just a food parcel.

Our volunteers will offer a warm welcome, listen without judgement, and discuss any dietary requirements you may have. Food parcels are tailored to household size and can often be adapted for specific dietary needs. Each parcel contains at least three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced food, along with toiletries and other essentials where available.

We also know that the reasons people need a foodbank are often complex. That’s why our Community Connector Team can help identify other sources of support, including advice services and local organisations that may be able to assist with issues such as debt, benefits, housing, employment, and wellbeing.

You’re not alone

Asking for help can feel difficult, but no one should have to face hunger alone.

If you’re struggling to afford food or other essentials, please reach out. Our team is here to listen, support, and help you access the assistance you need.

For more information about getting help, foodbank vouchers, opening times, and locations, visit our Get Help pages or contact Hart Foodbank directly.

Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has access to the support they need when times are tough. 💚
