Share your garden harvest and help local families

25th July 2026

As summer gardens begin to flourish, we are inviting local residents to donate any surplus homegrown fruit to help families in our community.

If your apple or plum tree is overflowing, or you have an abundance of pears, blackberries or other fresh fruit that you can’t use, why not share it with someone who will truly appreciate it?

Fresh fruit is a valuable addition to the food we provide, helping to offer nutritious, healthy options to local people facing financial hardship. Your donation can make a real difference by adding variety to the food available while ensuring perfectly good produce doesn’t go to waste.

Every year, gardens across Hart produce more fruit than many households can use. Instead of leaving it to fall from the trees or end up in the compost, your surplus harvest could provide a welcome treat for local families.

If you would like to donate, please ensure your fruit is freshly picked, clean and in good condition. We also ask that you contact our Community Pantry before delivering your donation so we can arrange a suitable drop-off time and make sure it reaches people while it’s at its best.

Whether it’s a handful of blackberries, a basket of plums or a bag of crisp apples, every donation is gratefully received.

By sharing your harvest, you’ll be helping to reduce food waste, support local families and strengthen our community-one piece of fruit at a time.

To arrange a donation to our Community Pantry only, please get in touch with us at [email protected] or +44 7818 874499.

Thank you for helping us turn a surplus harvest into support for local people. 💚
