Local electrical businesses power up Hart Foodbank with generous support

5th August 2026

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to local businesses and tradespeople who have generously donated their time, expertise and materials to improve the lighting and electrical facilities at our Distribution Hub in the Hart Shopping Centre.

The project has transformed the space with the installation of new energy-efficient LED lighting, creating a brighter, safer and more welcoming environment for our volunteers and everyone who visits the hub.

Leading the work was Rob Kerr of RK Electrical Services, who carried out the electrical installation throughout the premises.

Rob was supported by Sean Mitchell of Wired Electrical, who generously gave his time to assist with installing the new lighting, power supplies and alterations to the basement service areas.

The project was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of Edmundson Electrical in Aldershot, who donated several LED strip lighting fittings, free of charge, with an estimated value of £800.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Kelvin Mitchell, Branch Manager, and Paul Ryan, Assistant Manager, at Edmundson Electrical for their generous donation and ongoing support.

The improvements will make a lasting difference to the day-to-day running of the Distribution Hub, helping volunteers work more efficiently while reducing energy costs through modern LED lighting.

We rely on the kindness and generosity of local businesses, community groups and volunteers, whose support helps us continue providing emergency food and practical help to people across Hart.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this project possible.
