Hart Foodbank and Community Pantry Open Day is a fantastic success!

We are celebrating a successful Open Day, held on Saturday 10 October at Unit 18a in Hart Shopping Centre.

The event was a wonderful opportunity to welcome members of the local community, showcase the work of the Foodbank and Community Pantry, and encourage more people to get involved in supporting local residents.

One of the biggest successes of the day was the fantastic response from people interested in volunteering. At least five new volunteers signed up as a result of the Open Day, with even more people expressing an interest in getting involved in the days that followed.

The team has continued to hear from prospective volunteers since the event, with several people coming forward afterwards and others dropping in to find out more. This encouraging response shows just how many people want to make a difference in their local community.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the services Hart Foodbank and Community Pantry provide, explore volunteering opportunities, view the Volunteers Gallery and discover how they could play a part in supporting the organisation’s work.

The team was delighted to meet so many people who were keen to help, whether by giving their time, sharing their skills or finding out more about the support available locally.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited, signed up to volunteer or helped make the day such a success. We are thrilled by the response and look forward to welcoming our new volunteers to the team.
