✂️ Hart Foodbank launches free hairdressing service – and it’s a cut above!

Today, we proudly launched our brand-new free hairdressing and barbering service at Fleet Baptist Church – and the first session was a fantastic success!

Thanks to the incredible support of Marianne’s Hair Salon in Basingstoke, we were able to offer professional haircuts to our clients in a welcoming and respectful environment. The service was created in direct response to feedback gathered from clients earlier this year, where access to personal grooming services was highlighted as a meaningful form of support.

The feedback from those who received haircuts was overwhelmingly positive, from increased confidence to simple joy at the chance for some self-care.

The service offers 30-minute appointments and can accommodate up to eight clients per session, with both a barber and a hairdresser available. It will rotate monthly across Fleet, Hook, and Darby Green, with future dates already scheduled:

• 14 July – Life Church, Hook (11:00am – 1:00pm)
• 11 August – St Barnabas Church, Darby Green (1:00pm – 3:00pm)
• 15 September – Fleet Baptist Church (1:00pm – 3:00pm)

Booking is essential, and clients will receive an email link to book appointments directly.

This service is more than just a haircut. It’s about dignity, well-being, and confidence – because everyone deserves to feel their best, no matter their circumstances.
