A pear-fect gift: Crookham village resident shares harvest with Hart Foodbank

21st September 2025

We want to express our gratitude to a kind resident in Crookham Village who donated a bumper harvest of pears from their garden tree.

This year’s strong fruit yield has provided a welcome boost for both the Foodbank and the Community Pantry, ensuring that fresh, locally grown produce can be shared with families who need it most.

A spokesperson for Hart Foodbank said:

“Donations like this are a wonderful reminder of how communities can come together to support one another. Fresh produce makes a huge difference for our clients, and we are so thankful for this thoughtful gift.”

The donation highlights how surplus fruit and vegetables from gardens and allotments can play a vital role in tackling food poverty while reducing food waste.
