Please help with donations to support local households in crisis

12th October 2025

We would like to urge local residents and businesses to step forward and donate food, as more families face financial hardship and food insecurity in our community.

Over 90% of the food distributed by food banks in the Trussell Trust network comes from public donations – making every contribution essential to ensuring that people referred to Hart Foodbank receive a balanced three-day emergency food parcel.

Some staple items like pasta, water, flour, and biscuits are already well supplied, and we ask that donors focus on the more urgent needs that we publish on our website and across social media every week.

Where & when to donate

Donations can be dropped off at a number of locations with varying opening hours. Some of the food collection points include:

  • Waitrose, Fleet – foodbank bin after the checkouts

  • Tesco Express, Hartley Wintney (High Street) – daily 6:00–23:00

  • Hart District Council office, Harlington Way, Fleet – Mon–Fri 08:30–17:00

  • Many churches across Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Crookham, Odiham, Hook etc.

Wider impact & what your donation achieves

We also support neighbouring foodbanks in times of shortage, meaning your donation may help people beyond the immediate region.

Running a foodbank involves more than collecting food – financial support is needed too, to cover operational costs such as storage, transport, admin, and staffing.

The relief that comes from knowing there will be enough food for the next few days is enormous. Every donation helps bring hope and stability to local families and individuals struggling to make ends meet.
