As demand for food support continues to rise, we are asking the Fleet community and surrounding areas to consider donating – whether a one-off gift or a monthly contribution. Running the food bank depends on the generosity of the community, and every donation helps keep this vital service operating.
Ways to donate & support
-
Online donations: Donors can give via the Stewardship platform, which also allows Gift Aid claims to maximise the value of giving.
-
Regular giving: To support the foodbank sustainably, supporters are encouraged to set up a standing order. A downloadable donation form is available to help with this.
-
One-off gifts: Those wishing to donate just once can complete the form and post it with a cheque to Hart Foodbank’s treasurer at Fleet Baptist Church, in Fleet, Hampshire.
-
Legacy giving & fundraising: Hart also invites supporters to consider leaving a legacy donation or organising local fundraising activities. Materials (including a fundraising booklet) are available on request.
Why this appeal matters now
Operating a food bank involves numerous ongoing costs beyond food, including fuel, storage, rent, utilities, delivery, staffing, and administration. Financial donations are crucial for covering these “behind-the-scenes” expenses so we can focus on helping people.
Because Hart Foodbank depends so heavily on local engagement, every donation matters – whether large or modest. The cumulative effect of many small gifts helps ensure the food bank can continue to respond reliably to local food insecurity.
