A simple blood test could save your life

A free prostate cancer screening event is taking place at Odiham Cottage Hospital on Saturday 23rd May 2026, from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men, with 1 in 8 men diagnosed during their lifetime. Early detection is key – and a simple PSA blood test can help identify potential issues at an early stage.

This event offers eligible men the opportunity to access a free PSA test, helping to raise awareness and support early diagnosis within the community.

Who can take part?

Men aged 40 to 80 are invited to attend if:

• They have not had a PSA test in the last 12 months
• They have not recently received a “green” result that doesn’t yet require retesting
