Christmas roast dinner boxes prepared with love for Pantry members

24th December 2025

It was another busy adventure for Kate and Harty when they headed out to collect supplies for our Christmas roast dinner and all the trimmings boxes, preordered by Hart Community Pantry members in Fleet and Hook.

Despite challenging weather – with roads more like rivers – Harty handled the conditions brilliantly, ensuring everything was collected safely. Over the following days, the supplies were carefully packed and prepared, ready for collection earlier this week.

Packing the boxes was a real team effort, supported by our fantastic volunteers, and we were also pleased to welcome the Chair of Hart District Council, following their generous financial donation towards the cost of the boxes.

These Christmas boxes are part of a Hart Community Pantry project, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make it possible:

  • Carole and the customers at Morrisons, who organised and purchased the Christmas box bags filled with stuffing, bread sauce, gravy granules, and more

  • Hart District Council and Hart Rotary for their financial support

  • Cllr Peter Wildsmith, for rolling up his sleeves and helping with box packing

  • Booker Cash & Carry, for preparing the chickens so they were individually bagged and tied

  • Our incredible team of volunteers, without whom the Community Pantry simply wouldn’t run

And a special thank you from Kate to friends and family who were roped in to help throughout the week.

Thanks to this collective effort, Pantry members were able to collect everything they needed to enjoy a traditional Christmas roast with all the trimmings. 💚
